Ron Gartner's "Scotch, Soul, and Rock & Roll"

Fort Walton Beach Civic Auditorium, 7:30 p.m.

You walk into the auditorium with tickets to see a Vegas-style show called “Scotch, Soul & Rock n’ Roll” with an entertainer named Ron Gartner. You’re not sure you have heard of him, but the show sounded like fun and you love that kind of music, anyway. Ninety minutes later, it’s the final curtain call and you are on your feet along with the rest of the audience clapping and cheering in a standing ovation for this dynamic, charismatic, energetic showman, song stylist, crooner, doo-whopper, rocker and soul man. Sort of a throwback to some of the greatest entertainers to grace the Vegas strip like Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Bobby Darin  – even James Brown – but with a 21st century flair. With his swinging band and great songs from Big Band to Bandstand, Motown to Soul Train,  the Great American Songbook to Michael Bubl, Gartner delivers a dazzling performance that is so absolutely unforgettable.
