"Writers' Critique Groups"

The nighttime critique group meets the first and third Thursday of each month, 6:30-8:30 pm at St Paul's Lutheran Church in Niceville just off Hwy 20 near Redwood Avenue and behind the Twin Cities Funeral Home. For information about the nighttime critique group: awend@earthlink.net.

The daytime critique group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month, 1:00-3:00 pm at Ft Walton Beach Public Library, Hwy 98 Downtown. For information about the daytime critique group: gamma5380@cs.com or 837-2239.

Creative Kids Series for Preschoolers

 Ages 3 - 5 1-1:45pm $100.  Children that have previously enjoyed Creative Kids will enjoy learning new skills in this class. Childen new to the class will be able to jump right in this age appropriate class. All lessons are new! Our youngest artists get the chance to explore paints, modeling compounds, oil pastels, watercolors and other wonderful art materials.  They will build confidence while exploring creative and innovative materials.  (No classes week of Thanksgiving.)  Register online at www.abrakadoodle.com

Linda Gentille's "American Piano Show"

Emerald Coast Concert Association (ECCA)

Fort Walton Beach Civic Auditorium; 7:30 p.m. The American Piano Show is an exciting musical concert starring world-renowned pianist and entertainer Linda Gentille and the Linda Gentille Quartet. The show will feature the music of the great American composers such as Gershwin, Berlin, Foster, Bernstein, Hogie Carmichael, Rogers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Scott Joplin, John Phillip Souza and Neil Diamond and is suited for both general and student audiences. Gentille’s fabulous rendition of Rhapsody in Blue and her incredible ability to skillfully weave classical music and her own Flamenco style into her repertoire of more than 2,000 popular songs and hymns should make this evening a must hear. Special guest for the Ft. Walton performance is Jim Yester, original singer of the ‘60s vocal group, “The Association.” Yester will sing as well as accompany Gentille as part of her band. Maestro Fuller's popular coffee klatches return for another season at The Café at Barnes & Noble's in Destin. "These sessions provide an up close and intimate setting for our patrons to ask questions about the season and meet Sinfonia guest artists in a relaxed environment," stated Fuller.   
All coffees begin at 10am, are free and are hosted by Maestro Fuller. The Café at Barnes & Noble graciously provides complimentary Starbucks coffee and edibles.
